The Anatomy of the Hidden Vagina

Some of the small plates are going to become part of a greater composition, titled The Anatomy of the Hidden Vagina, were I explore medieval imagery, medical and religious depictions of wounds, dissections, and cuts, in relation to menstrual symbolism and scientific discourse. Paired up, the image on the left is the creation of Eve missing the opening, and the image on the right provides an ironically scientific analisis of it in relation to female genitalia, it reads: "Ectopic pregnancy in thoracic cavity/vaginoplasty and birth canal reconstruction".
